This is a residential institute for Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) Program Facilitators.
The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) Fall Institute is designed for both new and experienced facilitators in the ISW Program. The Institute provides participants with opportunities to share their insights and challenges and to draw on each others’experiences and expertise within a collegial environment. We will use a variety of small and whole group discussion and presentation formats. Specific activities evolve from an ongoing needs assessment as the event progresses. In short, participants are requested to come prepared to share ideas, innovations, problems, philosophies and visions.
NOTE: This year our Institute includes our sixth “Nuts and Bolts for All Practitioners” pre-conference session for new facilitators and for those setting up fairly new programs in their institutions. If you are new to the ISW or would like to talk with those who are just starting, please consider arriving early for this New Practitioner session.
To register, please download the following form and submit via email to Mischa Makortoff (email@example.com).
The most valuable part of the workshop was:
“Feeling welcomed and valuable as a part of this community because I feel young and inexperienced but I realized that I had things to offer and they were welcomed and appreciated.”
“The individual conversations; the small group work in the breakout and large group sessions because building relationships and connections; great conversations with other people and feeling contributions were valued”
